Jone. 14.

May it please Your Excellency,

240

Apart from the statement given already I beg to bring the following points for Your Excellency's kind and immediate

consideration.

As a Christian I solemnly swear on the Bible in which

I have been murtured and brought up that all my statements are truth and nothing but truth.

That at the request of the late Mr. W. C. Hopkinson that I stayed with Far Dayal for a period of eight months though I view in Berkeley for three yeers. That Mr. Hopkinson promised

me that not only myself but 211/the members of my father's family

will be rewarded for any help I render the Government against

the anarchists. I ever subscribed for the papers, Indian.

Sociologist and Bantemataram two seditious papers that were published at Paris and I was supplying those papers to Mr.

Hopkinson at his request. Again though I pretended to be a

sympathiser of Har Dayal and his associated yet I did not speak

against the Goverment in any of their meetings. I used to get

hold of any seditious paper that I met with and send them to

Mr.

Hopkinson.

In conclusion I pray that Your Excellency will be

pleased to go through all the correspondence I left at the

office and grant me justice. I further pray that Your Excellency

will be pleased to grant me not only protection from the hands

of the anarchists but also grant me sufficient recognition of

my services to the benign British Government who is the only

Divine Dispensation to rule over the teeming millions of Indians

and also enable me to further utilise my service when I go to

Indie. I also feel confident that the little Military drill I

learnt at the University of California and also my insight into

the activities of these anarchists will be of value to the

Government in India at this hour.

I beg to remain,

Your Excellency's most obedient servant,

Sd.

H. E. Pandian.
